Community Hospice for Caring at Baptist Medical Center, South

Auld & White Constructors was retained by Community Hospice & Palliative Care to complete its tenth inpatient unit at Baptist Medical Center South. This 7,436-square-foot, 10-bedroom facility, located on the 7th floor of Tower C, features private rooms with bathrooms, spacious gathering areas, family laundry and kitchenette facilities, and a quiet room. Designed to provide a calming, residential-style environment, the center aims to stabilize patients’ acute symptoms, allowing them to return home or to a long-term care facility. Local artwork enhances the atmosphere of peace and comfort, and family and friends are welcome to visit at any time, including overnight stays. This facility serves the needs of this growing community. Hospital President Nicole Thomas, FACHE, highlighted the seamless transition to hospice care that the new center provides, ensuring comfort and peace of mind for families.
