Community Hospice Dorion Family Pediatric Center Addition

Auld & White Constructors (AWC) was retained to expand Community Hospice’s pediatric care services with the addition of the Dorion Family Pediatric Center, creating a thoughtfully designed environment for children with complex illnesses and their families. Constructed within a former courtyard, the building within a building addition introduces specialized spaces including a music room, sound and recording studio, sensory room, flex space, grieving room, chapels, and new restrooms that support therapeutic, educational, and family centered care. A 30-foot high faux tree with illuminated butterfly fixtures serves as the centerpiece of the addition, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The project also included parking lot improvements and pond modifications with a new retaining wall, expanding access to specialized pediatric hospice services while supporting Community Hospice’s mission of compassionate care.
