Auld & White Will Underwrite Adoption Cost for First 150 Pets at New Project Opening
Jacksonville, Fla., Aug. 8, 2009 – In celebration of its successful completion of the City of Jacksonville’s new Animal Care & Protective Services facility, Auld & White Constructors will contribute $10 toward the cost of adoption for the first 150 dogs and cats adopted from the new shelter.
“We’re proud to have built this great new facility,” said AWC president Ed White, “and we support the important work done by Animal Care & Control. Many of our team members are animal lovers, and we all hope this extra incentive will encourage local families to adopt a pet and save a life.”
White made the announcement at today’s grand opening ceremony for the new shelter.
Auld & White completed work on the facility in June, bringing it in on time and on budget in spite of rising material and labor costs. The new shelter is anticipated to become Jacksonville’s first LEED Gold-Certified structure, a milestone in green building for the First Coast.
Auld & White has a long tradition of good corporate citizenship and supports a number of charitable causes and organizations in North Florida. To learn more about how to adopt a pet, visit http://www.coj.net/Departments/Environmental+and+Compliance/Animal+Care+and+Control
