U.S. Xpress Maintenance Warehouse

Auld & White Constructors (AWC) was retained by U.S. Xpress, Inc to renovate its existing maintenance warehouse, west of US 1, in the Mandarin Station area of Jacksonville. The existing facility was home to five maintenance bays, two repair bays, an above grade storage warehouse, a driver’s lounge, and waiting area. The 19,400 square feet project included the selective demolition of the existing storage warehouse and one of the existing maintenance bays to allow for construction of the new space. This new space includes the addition of five drive-thru maintenance bays, a parts & service counter, battery and tool storage, a storage mezzanine, locker rooms, and break room. AWC coordinated the demolition and construction of the middle portion of the active facility, so it could remain open and operational to service up to 15 trucks a day. This allowed the nation’s largest truckload carrier to keep its fleet serviceable and moving.
