Where are you originally from?
I was born in Jacksonville, FL, but have spent time living in Ocala, FL, Queens, NY and Hawaii.
What is your role at Auld & White Constructors (AWC)?
How long have you been at AWC?
I joined the AWC family in Summer 2020.
How did you end up here?
After years of traveling for work with another area firm, I was ready to be home more. Auld & White Constructors’ business model is that most of our projects are within a 90-mile radius of our Jacksonville headquarters. This allows everyone to be with their family at night. This philosophy appealed to me because it allows me to work on jobs locally and not travel far from home.
What did you do prior to Auld & White?
While attending the University of Florida, I had an internship with Haskell. After graduating I spent six years with them in various job roles including Assistant Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Project Manager.
What do you like most about your job?
The fact that I am continuously acquiring new skills to be used towards building a better future for our community. Being rooted in Jacksonville is something I take pride in!
What is your proudest moment at AWC?
Shortly after I began with AWC, one of my colleagues had an unexpected personal event. I was in awe watching the outpouring of love and support from my co-workers as they rallied around him. We have an amazing team.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you at AWC?
On Halloween, one of my co-workers came to work dressed in an inflatable dinosaur suit costume! She would sneak up on people in the office and spook them. Everyone was laughing – after they finished screaming.
Other than work, what are you passionate about?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am passionate about my spirituality, music, dance, and always welcome the opportunity to travel and explore new places!!
