Human Resources Manager

Do you have HR experience and are interested in joining our team? Auld & White Constructors is seeking a Human Resources Manager with a minimum of 10-15 years experience in Human Resources with at least 7 years in a management role.

The Human Resources Manager leads, supports, and implements all aspects of Human Resources including but not limited to recruiting, benefits, compensation, leave administration, policies and programs, performance management, onboarding, training, and development. The Human Resources Manager will work at the Headquarters office of Auld & White Constructors in Jacksonville, Florida.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Benefits, Compensation, Diversity, Employee Relations
  • Organizational and Employee Development, Staffing Management, Training, and Development
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates and implements processes, training, initiatives to support the Human Resources compliance and business strategy needs
  • Deliver HR Strategies and practices in response to ever-changing needs in the construction industry.
  • Follows the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the company
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
  • Trusted advisor directly involved in all areas of Human Resources and delivers exceptional services and support, recruit, grow and retain the best employees
  • Reviews and makes recommendations to Leadership for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters
  • Communicates changes in the organization’s personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed
  • Coordinates and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
  • Maintains a human resource information system (HRIS)
  • Plans, organizes, and executes company events including but not limited to, company meetings, service awards, and company social events.
  • Prepare, review and update job descriptions
  • Answers questions and/or requests from governmental agencies, including employee complaints, represent the company at hearings and mediation, and serves as the EEO Specialist
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance
  • Handles all matters with strict confidence


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and human resources principles, practices, and procedures

  • Ability to maintain composure when facing change or working under pressure
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
     

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP preferred
  • 10-15 years’ Human Resources experience; including supervisory experience, with at least 7 years in a management role
