Auld & White Contracted to Build Land & Marine Based Fire Station for City of Jacksonville
Jacksonville, Fla., May 5, 2010 – Auld & White Constructors and design partner Dasher Hurst Architects have signed a design-build contract with the City of Jacksonville for a new fire station to be located on Heckscher Drive on the St. Johns River. The two-story land and marine based fire station will seek LEED certification and is designed to withstand 150 MPH hurricane force winds. The facility will be used as a Post, Storm Operations/Search & Rescue Center and will be completed in March 2011.
Other LEED Projects
To date, Auld & White has completed four (4) LEED certified projects, including the LEED Gold certified City of Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services facility. Currently Auld & White is seeking LEED certification on two (2) additional projects, including UNF’s Founders Hall and First Federal Bank of Jasper.
